Credit Program

Program Overview

Facing the advent of an aging society, cultivating professionals with expertise in health longevity and aging science has become one of the most critical issues. The purpose of this program is to develop students’ core knowledge in health longevity and aging science and their ability to apply this knowledge across various fields through interdisciplinary course design. The curriculum emphasizes interdisciplinary integration, breaking traditional boundaries between medicine and engineering, and between social sciences and technology. Through the stimulation of innovative ideas, the program aims to cultivate a new generation of thinkers for a healthy and long-lived society.

The program’s courses combine expertise from diverse fields such as medicine, nursing, engineering, and humanities, encouraging students to think across disciplines and collaborate in teams. This approach fosters their ability to integrate and apply knowledge to solve complex problems.

The program is centered around two core courses: “Theory and Practice of Integrated Care for the Elderly” and “Applications of Technology in Aging.” These courses combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, utilizing technology to enhance the quality of care. Through forward-looking curriculum design, the program aspires to cultivate professionals who will play a pivotal role in the future aging society. The interdisciplinary integration skills developed through this program will enable graduates to pursue further studies in related fields at domestic and international universities, including the possibility of earning a Ph.D.
